"The work of justice must be led by the voices of those who have lived through the system."

Who We Are

Meet The Founder

Latasha Wilson is the founder of Transformative Justice For All (TJFA), a grassroots initiative committed to challenging systemic inequities within the justice system and uplifting the voices of people most impacted by incarceration and criminalization.

As a Jamaican, Nova Scotian, and Mi'kmaw mother, Latasha brings lived experience, advocacy, and community knowledge to her work. Her lived experience navigating the justice system has deeply informed her commitment to creating spaces where marginalized voices are not only heard, but recognized as essential to conversations around justice reform, healing, and systemic change.

Latasha’s work centers on raising awareness about the barriers faced by people impacted by incarceration while advocating for approaches rooted in accountability, equity, collective care, and transformative justice. She is passionate about building community-led solutions that support healing, dignity, and opportunities for meaningful change.

Latasha also served as a community reviewer on the Joint UN Submission on Systemic Racism Against People of African Descent in the Criminal Justice System, alongside the Pivot Legal Society and members of the Unsubmissive Collective. Her contribution centered lived experience perspectives and highlighted the lived realities of people impacted by incarceration and systemic inequities within Canada’s criminal justice system.

Latasha is currently pursuing her General Bachelor of Arts degree at Wilfrid Laurier University, where she continues to deepen her understanding of advocacy, social justice, and community-centered change through both academic and lived experience perspectives.

Through TJFA, Latasha continues to collaborate with communities, organizations, and institutions to advocate for more equitable, compassionate, and transformative approaches to justice.

Founder

Christophe Lewis

Christophe is a community advocate and the founder of Freedom Is A Must Foundation, whose work is rooted in lived experience, community care, and systems change. His advocacy centers the voices and realities of those directly impacted by policing, housing insecurity, poverty, and barriers to opportunity — recognizing that true community safety cannot exist without equity, stability, and access.

Christophe believes that issues such as policing, housing, and recreational opportunities are deeply interconnected and must be addressed through a holistic, community-led approach. His work challenges assumptions and pushes for solutions grounded in the real experiences of marginalized communities, particularly those who have been historically over-policed, underserved, and excluded from meaningful support systems.
